Solar
Power Energy is an environmentally friendly and very reliable form
of electricity generation that is available today .The energy that can
be gathered from the SUN can be utilised efficiently reducing CO2 emissions thus helping our environment and making our future a sustainable and brighter place .
Sustainable power is a reality today! Solar Power Energy from Photovoltaic cells is used increasingly thought out the world to harvest the best & cleanest power plant we have , the SUN .
Why are Photovoltaic's Good for the Environment
Solar Energy systems (photovoltaic (PV) systems) have very little impact on the environment, making them one of the cleanest power-generating technologies available. Whilst operating, PV systems produce no air pollution, hazardous waste, or noise, and they require no transportable fuels. Because of these benefits, Photovoltaic's can play a major role in prevention of these pollution's.
Of course, no form of energy production is completely free of effects on the environment. As with any consumer product, the raw materials for PV systems must be shipped to factories, and completed products must be shipped from factories to consumers. In many cases, components may also be shipped from one factory to another for assembly. Transporting PV materials, components, and final products uses some energy and produces some air pollution and greenhouse gases, in addition to contributing slightly to traffic and noise problems.
Energy is also used in manufacturing PV systems. However, efforts to minimize manufacturing costs and increase output are also reducing the amount of energy used to manufacture each PV system.
This is a main concern when selecting PV modules for power systems as some manufactured modules will take many years to reclaim the embedded energy from construction .BlueSky Energy only uses PV cells & modules with the lowest embedded energy and shortest reclaim periods .
By fact , our current systems use cells made in factory's using Renewable energy for production of components .
Reducing Emissions
Because PV systems burn no fuel and have no moving parts, they are clean and silent, producing no atmospheric emissions or greenhouse gases that have detrimental effects on the planet.
Compared with electricity generated from fossil fuels, each kilowatt of PV-produced electricity offsets up to 370 kg of oxides of nitrogen, 660 kg of sulfur dioxide, and 1,500 kg of carbon dioxide, every year !
Imagine what each of us could help reduce ...Imagine what we all combined could achieve !!!
How do we use the Energy of Sun for Power ?
Please refer to below image of Solar House model .
.Energy from the Sun is converted by the Photovoltaic modules on top the roof. The electrical energy developed by the PV modules are DC , like a battery , and therefore need to be converted for use in the home .
An DC-AC converter , more commonly called an inverter , then transforms the power to 240 Volts to be used by normal electrical appliances .
The inverter system is intelligent and can discover if power is required in the home or ,if not , then routing the excess power to the connected outside utility grid.
When this happens your electric meter will run backwards placing you in Net credit for the power sent outside to the grid. Later this power can be used , typically this is what happens at night when there isn't any Sun for the system to run your home .
This is why when we design a system we allow for excess power to be sent to the grid during the day so you can use at night .
